Hello Oxford Otters!
Welcome back – we hope you had a wonderful Spring Break! We want to let you know that this year’s OTTERPALOOZA SPRING FLING AND RAFFLE will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 11am - 2pm on the Oxford Playground. There will be food, games, raffle prize drawing, and tons of fun for the whole community – we hope you will join us! The raffle is our last big PTA fundraiser of the year, and we’re kicking off ticket sales this week! The goal is to raise $20,000 for our amazing school.
RAFFLE INSTRUCTIONS:
Each student is asked to sell 20 raffle tickets (enclosed) to friends, family, neighbors, etc.
Each ticket has a chance to win any of dozens of exciting prizes donated by local businesses, including gift cards to local restaurants and shops, tickets to movie theaters and amusement parks, and the Grand Prizes of a shiny new iPad or Kids’ Kindle! (Full list of prizes on reverse – it’s helpful to bring this along to show people when you sell tickets.)
Each student who sells at least one raffle ticket will be entered into a drawing to win Principal for the Day or Librarian for the Day!
The class that sells the most tickets will win an ICE CREAM PARTY!
Raffle tickets cost $5.00 each and payment can be made in cash or check (payable to Oxford Elementary PTA). You may accept electronic payment from people you sell tickets to and turn in cash or check on their behalf.
Please make sure when people buy tickets they PRINT their name and email/phone LEGIBLY so we can contact them if they win. Tear the ticket at the perforation and give the large portion of the ticket to the purchaser to keep. You will take the ticket stub (the small portion with their name and email/phone) to be entered into the raffle.
Turn in ticket stubs and money collected to your teacher anytime in the next four weeks. The final deadline to turn in tickets is Friday, May 9. Earlier is better.
Be sure to return ticket stubs and money in the manila envelope provided, labeled with your name and your teacher’s name, so we can keep track for the class contest.
Please also return any tickets you do not plan to sell so we can reuse them.
If you finish selling all 20 tickets, students can request additional tickets at the main office.
Winners will be drawn on May 17 at Otterpalooza.
Need not be present at drawing to win, but prizes must be collected by May 30.
Raffle tickets purchases are not tax-deductible.
